I know there are many parents out there feeling the need to protect their children after last week's events in Newtown. I myself felt sadness and horror at what had happened. I may have thought "if that were one of my kids I would be crushed"...but never once did I fear about sending my kids back to school.

Welcome!
Hello Hello!! I hope everyone is having a FABULOUS Friday! This will be my umpteenth attempt at blogging. Maybe you guys can help keep me accountable. :)
I have lived in northern Florida practically my whole life. There were a few years as a toddler we lived with family in Indiana. But Florida is my home. And it's almost always HOT and HUMID and..well it's Florida. You can easily find yourself sweating in winter. Flip flops are worn year round, sweetened iced tea is the best kind of tea, "y'all" is part of every day conversation, love bugs attack yours cars around September, and mosquitoes are a year-round annoyance much to my dismay. More importantly this is where most of my family is, and my family is my home. I've moved a few times and have had to make friends all over the state. But I have found that you can always find warm-hearted people here in Florida, no matter where you live.
